Working your way up. Beth Behrs candid about what fans may not know about her, and the actress revealed that she started in Hollywood as an assistant to a late icon.

“I worked for Joan Rivers in college,” Behrs, 36, told exclusively We Weekly† The star of CBS’ The neighbourhood attended UCLA’s School of Film and Television – where she received her bachelor’s degree in critical studies in 2008 – when she took a job with the fashion police host. Below, she reveals how the famous comic, who died in 2014, cooked for her and gave her beautiful gifts.

Another iconic funny lady wrote her a note which she has framed ever since, telling her Us she is eager to go to dinner at the house of a certain Oscar winner.

Although she is a foodie, Behrs hopes to reduce her environmental impact. “Food waste is a huge no-no in [my] house,” she explained before revealing how she is trying to create less waste.

That is why she has entered into a partnership with Schick Intuition Bamboo. 1. I wore cowboy boots to my 2 broke Girls audition, and [director] Michael Patrick King told me to buy a pair of heels – the first I’ve ever had – for the screen test.

2. We’re trying to be a plastic-free home, so I recently swapped out all my plastic razors for the new Schick Intuition Bamboo razors! 3. Horses consume my life outside of acting. I have a rescue mare named Belle who is part mustang. I always say, “Who saved who?”

5. My childhood best friend is Matt Doylewho plays in it? Company on Broadway.

6. I recently discovered pickle ball and I am really obsessed.

7. My best audition and biggest heartbreak was for Eliza Doolittle in My beautiful lady on Broadway and doesn’t get the part.

8. I graduated from UCLA with a BA in Theater, Film and Television. I wanted to make documentaries. Still.

9. In elementary school I pretended to be sick to stay home and watch I love Lucy reps.

10. I was a total jock growing up. My soccer team called me “Biggest Beast in the Smallest Package”.

12. I sold my first comedy screenplay to Lionsgate last year.

13. I was a waitress in real life for a very short time. I stopped after spilling 60 oz beer glasses across a table of 10.

14. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, and a meditation practice I learned called yoga nidra saved my life. I teach now [it] for the Obé fitness app.
