While in NYC for a meeting with the UN, Amal Clooney continued her style streak Thursday night in a piping hot Sukeina midi dress for dinner with her mom, Baria Alamuddin.
With a sheer mesh top and intricate, hand-braided tasseled skirt, the standout look was both sexy and elegant — and a far cry from the more conservative fare the human rights lawyer usually wears on the job.
Clooney, 44, matched her lipstick with the sleeveless scarlet style and adorned with sparkly earrings, a metal box clutch and silver Gianvito Rossi pumps with clear PVC detailing.
While in the Big Apple ahead of Monday’s Met Gala, the British-Lebanese lawyer stepped out one eye-catching look after another, from the vintage Dior polka-dot skirt suit she wore to United States headquarters. Nations to the sparkly silver top she teamed with jeans for a Wednesday night out.
The high-profile lawyer, who shares 4-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with husband George Clooney, spoke at the UN this week about Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
“Here we are, faced with the evidence of crimes of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and growing evidence of the crime of genocide every day,” Clooney said in her speech.
“What worries me as I sit here today is that the resolute action we have seen in the first 50 days of this war will prove to be the culmination rather than the starting point of the legal and diplomatic response.”
