But the former host of The Project has devised an ingenious hack to ensure the three-year-old form becomes too bleak to leave Australia behind, in an Instagram post from Thursday.

Bickmore, 41, revealed that play centers are the secret to her success, writing: ‘Glad to report that play centers in London are just like Aussie play centres’.

The radio host continued: “I wanted to do something easy and fun for Addie today because to be honest she is the one in the family who struggles the most with our adventure.”

Away from her home (where she has spent much of her short life due to the lockdown) new smells, new people, different food, subways, buses, flights, late nights, new beds, it’s a lot for her and the the result is a lot of chuckling, tantrums, disturbed sleep and very affectionate.’

“I know the special time we have together will be worth it to her, but I thought I’d share some of our realities of traveling with little ones.”

“I cherish the endless hours together that I never get home and like to spend my day in a ball pit,” Bickmore concluded.

Bickmore now broadcasts her radio show from London after moving abroad with her family.

And the popular presenter dropped the glamor when she hosted Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy Show this week.

The fresh-faced mum of three wore a red hoodie and tossed her signature blonde locks up in a bun for her workday.

A Hit Network microphone was placed on a desk in front of her and a sound mixer behind the TV and radio star.

It comes after Carrie said her family is “settling in the UK” after their big move abroad together.

Carrie stepped down as The Project’s star host for the trip.

“Our adventure is well underway, I can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to over the last few weeks,” the caption began.

‘We packed it’ [visiting France, Switzerland and Austria] (maybe too many stops for our little people!) and we’ve seen the most incredible places,” Carrie continued.

‘Now that we’re settling down in the UK,’ she concluded, before calling the trip ‘#britmorefamilyadventure or the Chriswolds family adventure, as Chris calls it’.

Carrie first revealed her big plans with partner Chris Walker and their children in March.

‘In April I’m taking a few months off from The Project desk. Chris, me and the kids are going on a family adventure together.’

“We’ve wanted to do it for a while, but the timing wasn’t right for many reasons, but we don’t think it’s ever going to be the perfect time to go.

“It’s something we really want to do before my son starts his final year at school, so we’re doing the second semester in the UK. So I’m off for a few months.’

Carrie also said she was inspired by The Project panelist Kate Langbroek, 56, who lived with her family in Bologna, Italy for two years.

Meanwhile, Waleed Aly and Lisa Wilkinson were noticeably absent from The Project in the wake of Carrie’s move, but have since returned.
