From a shy baby fox to toads putting on crowns, the felt miniatures created by Simon Brown and Katie Corrigan are cute, whimsical renditions of woodland creatures. The creative duo from Northumbria, UK, transform thick rovings of wool into wildlife that you can find on a snowy branch or on a mouse crawling through the grassy bristles of a wooden brush. Brown tells Colossal that he plans to include more found objects in the newer sculptures, which are increasingly illustrative in style, and is also working on developing automata to make the realistic characters more alive. Check out more of the couple’s trial on Instagram.
