Sunday at Chamberfest kept the great music rolling. The morning opened with JUNO winner Angela Schwarzkopf performing excerpts from her award-winning album loosen alongside percussionist Etienne Levesque. The afternoon matinee was full of Baroque, with the duo of violinist Chloe Kim and harpsichordist Hank Knox tackling Bach and Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber.
The evening saw a standout performance of Sounding Thunder: The Song of Francis Pegahmagabow. The chamber opera tells the story of Francis Pegahmagabow, a noted World War I veteran and head of the Wasauking Ojibwe. The story is told through acting, singing, hoop dancing and a chamber ensemble.
The Chamberfringe show was the husband-wife duo of Drew Jurecka and Rebekah Wolkstein, who played violin, mandolin, accordion and sang.
