Ecco opens new design studio in New York Navy Yard

Ecco, a long-standing Danish manufacturer of shoes and leather goods, has opened a beautiful design studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Brooklyn, New York. The 7,000-square-foot design studio was opened to combine footwear industry professionals with creatives to inspire new shoe and bag designs.

This is the first venture of its kind in the US for Ecco and the space will allow the company to build relationships with wholesalers, sellers, designers and other enthusiasts.

Ecco was founded in 1963 and its open door philosophy stands to this day. The studio welcomes industry peers to learn more about sustainability innovations and material technologies relevant to Ecco’s specialties.

Ecco held a media event at the studio where journalists and other personalities in the golf and fashion worlds were invited to learn more about Ecco’s technology and business.
