Fantastic four is currently scheduled to be released on November 8, 2024 as the opening film of Phase 6.

On his Instagram, artist SPDRRMNKYXIII shared a recent piece of him that thought Weird stuffQuinn as one of Marvel’s brightest individuals. The artwork shows Quinn using his powers to stretch his limbs, while the actor is depicted wearing a uniform similar to Krasinski’s costume, along with the character’s iconic graying hair. The artwork also features other nods to wider Marvel lore, including Doctor Doom’s Time Platform which Krasinski’s Variant used to make its entrance into Multiverse of madness. As revealed by Multiverse of madness director Sam Raimi, Krasinski’s casting was inspired by fan demand, which was expressed through art and online posts casting the actor in the role. As revealed in the audio commentary for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, approached the director to include Krasinski in response to fan demand. Raimi elaborated further, stating that they felt they would have the freedom to do the cameo due to the fact that the Illuminati’s Reed is from an alternate universe.

While Krasinski is already the first actor to portray the character in the MCU, there’s no guarantee he’ll reprise his role in future MCU movies or shows. And while Quinn’s popular role as beloved heavy metal rocker Eddie may seem far removed from Reed Richards, Eddie’s moments of regret in Weird stuff season 4 shows that Quinn was able to portray Reed’s guilt over his role in the cosmic radiation incident, as well as his compassion for his family. While fan casting won’t affect Marvel Studios decisions, fans can imagine how the future of the MCU might be shaped in anticipation of upcoming projects. That’s why the artwork of SPDRMNKYXIII is a fun way to imagine Quinn trading the Hawkins group in the Upside Down for the Fantastic four in the negative zone.
