Five Exclusive Horror OSTs to pick up 4/23/2022!

In 2022 there will only be one Record Store Dayand it takes place tomorrow, April 23† The annual celebration of bands, beer, fun and all things record store brings with it a slew of special vinyl releases, limited editions and exclusive records for Record Store Day. That includes coveted OSTs for the horror fan.

The caveat to Exclusive Record Store Day is that you can’t order them online; you must physically purchase and support your local participating record store.

Since there are hundreds of unique releases, we’ve narrowed them down to the horror movie-specific releases you don’t want to miss.

These five horror OSTs deliver the perfect blend of beautiful limited edition vinyl with earwig music.


May – Jammes Luckett

Terror Vision is bringing not one but two exclusive RSDs this year, and you don’t want to miss them. Luckett’s music comes with liner notes from Can director Lucky McKee and Luckett, with art by Vanessa McKee. It’s a blast. Strange Behavior – Tangerine Dream

Two words: Tangerine Dream. The very first release of this legendary 1981 Tangerine Dream score, also known as dead children† It has not been available in any format until now! The soundtrack of the second part of the popular multiplayer survival horror game will be available in limited edition vinyl format. Makes sense, since the first part served as a 2021 RSD release – a special release for fans of the award-winning video game.


Blue velvet – Angelo Badalamenti

The long-available single LP has been expanded by 60 minutes to a 2 LP Deluxe Edition with the addition of the famous 1963 recording of “Blue Velvet”, performed by Bobby Vinton, and previously unreleased movie cues, alternatives and outtakes titled “Lumberton Firewood . ” Tim Greiving’s liner notes feature new interviews with David Lynch, Angelo Badalamenti, Kyle MacLachlan and producer Fred Caruso, all housed in beautiful blue swirl vinyl packaging.


Mimic – Marco Beltramic
