People living in Melbourne’s north are encouraged to give their views on the plans for one of the city’s largest nature reserves, stretching from Campbellfield to Beveridge.
Known as Marran baba Merri Creek Regional Parklands, the park will cover 2,778 acres, according to the government, making it larger than 70 Royal Botanical Gardens.
Connecting parks and reserves from Campbellfield to Beveridge, the new parks will be valuable in providing open green spaces to the community for recreation, getting active and connecting with nature closer to home.
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning is asking for community feedback on its vision and priorities for the parks until August 16.
This is the first stage of engagement. DELWP will consult the community on the vision and priorities for the parks through the Engage Victoria consultation platform from July 19, 2022 to August 16, 2022. Details: engagement.vic.gov.au/marranbaba
