Innovate Now Africa Assistive Technology Accelerator Program 2022 for African Startups

Application Deadline: August 15, 2022

Innovate now helped launch 21 African assistive technology ventures over four acceleration cycles. African start-ups receive mentorship, learning and expert guidance over a period of 3-6 months to create marketable, scalable and investable Assistive Technologies (AT).

A collaboration between Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub), ICT Norway and Norad to recruit the next generation of advanced disability innovators to empower Africa as a technology powerhouse. Building on AT2030 funding from UK aid, the next phase of Innovate Now will focus on Digital AT and Entrepreneurship.

AT is increasingly digital, or requires digital capabilities. Digital AT are groundbreaking technologies that support the full inclusion of people with disabilities. We are looking for innovation-driven startups that improve access to assistive technology through digital means or offer digital assistive technology solutions in education, healthcare, livelihood and other sectors.
