The countdown hasn’t really started yet Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick to tie the knot after the Bachelor Nation stars previously planned to get married on New Year’s Eve.
“I really wanted to. I would actually still like to do it,” the 37-year-old reality star said exclusively on We Weekly’s podcast “Here for the right reasons” about exchanging vows on December 31. “Jason and I are so funny. Like, when we talk about a venue – we actually have such different styles, different tastes, otherwise everything that it’s almost frustrating. Because I’ll say, ‘I’m in love with this venue and it is perfect and it is open.’ And he’ll be like, ‘Oh, no, that’s no. That’s not the style we’re going for at all.’”
Bristowe joked that “everyone and their dogs are getting married now to catch up with the time of the pandemic,” making it “so hard” to book a venue.
“If we both agree on a venue, it’s booked until the end of next year,” she said. “Could we have this little, little intimate event in our backyard? [or] anywhere – I don’t care on the lake or anywhere, and then do that party thing at a location later next year?’ I’m still working on that idea. So we’re trying to come up with ideas, just because I didn’t know finding a venue or picking a date would be so difficult. I would say, ‘Why do people wait so long to get married?’ Like, unless they’re from The Bachelor, then I’m like, ‘Take your time!’”
The podcast host “Off the Vine” noted that Tartick, 33, is “so done” having a big wedding.
“I’m so not traditional that I think, ‘Why can’t we go to the courthouse?’ Because I would,” she told U.S, adding that there is no deadline for the couple to get married. “He’s not down.”
Bristowe and Tartick got engaged in May 2021 after dating for nearly two years. While the podcast host “Trading Secrets” gets his way with a more traditional wedding, the former bachelorette can keep him on his toes with her bridal look.
“I would totally wear a pantsuit. I like the idea that all my bridesmaids are in trouser suits, and me in a dress and then switch it up wherever they wear dresses and I switched to a trouser suit for the party,” she shared. U.S. “I just love a pantsuit. I used to joke about how often Jason wore blazers because I’d say, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so New York.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m Mrs. Tartick.’ I always wear a blazer. I like to wear dresses sometimes. But I go back and forth. I want a pantsuit. I want a tight dress, I want a loose dress, I want a short dress. I want a crop top. I can’t make a decision to save my life.”
