Kingston double murder: police release images of suspect

Police in Kingston, Ontario. have released new footage of a suspect in the double murder of two men from Ottawa last October.

Carl Alen Delphin, 20, was shot dead in a parking lot on Sydenham Road off Highway 401 on October 16, 2021. Nico Soubliere, 29, was seriously injured and died in hospital two days later. Both men were from Ottawa.

In a release Tuesday, police said their suspect tried to hide his identity by dressing on the day of the shooting. The suspect may use the alias “Sophia”.

Police believe the suspect and the victims knew each other. Investigators also believe that the parking lot on Sydenham Road, where the shootings took place, was intended as a site for a drug transaction.

Police have called for witnesses numerous times, including seeking information about a vehicle believed to be carrying witnesses. The man named as a suspect has previously been sought as an interested person who was seen with the victims before they were killed.

He is described as Black, between 25 and 40 years old, at least six feet tall and about 275 pounds. He is not believed to be a resident of Kingston.
