Tim Sherwood has stated that he will support Liverpool in the Champions League final against Real Madrid and even Manchester City fans want them to win.
The former title winner added that except for Manchester United fans, “everyone wants them to” beat Real Madrid in Paris.
It’s only a few days, but two of Europe’s biggest giants will go head-to-head on the biggest domestic stage of them all.
Both teams have world-class managers in the dugout and star-studded players on the pitch, so it will be a showdown.
But in a talk with Premier League Productions, Sherwood was sure of who he will be supporting in the French capital.
“He’s (Klopp) a real real guy and he’s fantastic with the media,” Sherwood said.
“If his team wins the Champions League. Everyone wants them to win. Everyone in the Premier League. Man United fans take them out.
“I honestly believe that even fans of Manchester City. The way the man is acting and the way the players are behaving. They want Liverpool to win the Champions League and beat Real Madrid.
“We want it for the Premier League’s sake, because we want to be so dominant. We know we are, but it just blows when you pick up that trophy.
“I will go to the game and I will support Liverpool 100%. I love the man and his squad. Never put tools down. Always dig and they can give anything.”
PEP GUARDIOLA WILL PULL HIS HAIR
Pep Guardiola probably pulls at the few remaining hairs he has on his head.
The Manchester City boss previously claimed that ‘everyone supports Liverpool’, and Sherwood’s comments are likely to echo what he was trying to say.
But while Sherwood thinks Man City fans will support the Reds, there’s no way it will.
Fans of Manchester United and Everton are also in the same boat and the same would be true if the shoe were on the other foot.
