The news of the shooting comes after two teenage girls were injured in a shooting outside a family gathering to mark the anniversary of a retiree’s death.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has enlisted the public’s help to track down those responsible for the attack around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the Moss Side area of the city.
Police originally reported that a 16-year-old girl was injured in the shooting, but police said today that a second 13-year-old girl was also injured.
Detective Superintendent Chris Downey said: “There was a gathering at an address where family gathered to celebrate a loved one who has passed away.
“Unfortunately, there was a vehicle in the area that appeared to have several men on board. It is a black or dark colored SUV that has been driving around and around the address for a while.”
