Protesters in Los Angeles, California, set off fireworks Friday night during a demonstration in the city.

The incident came after the Supreme Court’s decision to overthrow Roe v. Wade on Friday morning.

According to the Twitter user who posted the video, the incident happened when police officers and protesters clashed on W 8th St & S Olive St in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police issued an order at 9:33 p.m. Friday evening to disperse while protests were underway.

Following the Supreme Court ruling, Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted that “Abortion is legal in California” and “will remain so.”

“Abortion is legal in California. It will continue to be. I just signed a bill that will make our state a safe haven for women across the country. We will not partner with states that attempt to prosecute women or doctors for receiving or providing of reproductive care,” Newsom tweeted.
