A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening a taxi driver with a knife during an early morning drive in far west Melbourne.
A man has been arrested after an alleged early morning confrontation with a taxi driver in Melbourne’s far west.
The alleged chaos unfolded in Church Street, Melton, at 6:30 a.m. Monday, when the driver went to collect the male passenger.
He would have pulled out a knife and threatened the driver if he didn’t take the man to Hampton Park.
The man eventually exited the cab on Oaktree Drive and the driver quickly called the police.
A 22-year-old Melton man was arrested nearby a short time later and police seized a knife.
He is currently assisting the detectives in their investigation.
