With the upcoming primary on August 4, one must think of all the negative energy that surrounds an election for candidates trying to win voters’ sides.
Negative commercials, negative flyers, negative postcards in the mail. Who would wonder and think that politicians are really in the interest of the people?
We teach our kids to do their research and homework for good grades, but as for adults, many love the thrill of negative campaigns to do our thinking for us.
Voters often never research all candidates on the ballot, call their campaigns for questions, or attend political functions to get to know their candidates.

How we can tackle a growing mental health crisis
If you pay attention, our country has been in a state of ‘mental crisis’ since the pandemic. As one who has spoken to sheriffs and police chiefs in the “new” Fifth Congressional District, it has been said that prison cells are not for mental health patients, but criminals.
Parents and school counselors have stated that children/students are always at risk of becoming depressed due to stress when entering the best schools and organizations. Parents pushing for better jobs, bigger cars and houses add stress to the family.

One in four people suffer from depression and yet there are not enough mental health facilities to care for the mentally ill.
So what are the solutions:
- More life coaches and mental health clinics are pouring in.
- If we’re going to do student loan forgiveness, think about those who work with mental health.
- Mental health facilities should never have been closed – as a result, our homeless population has increased. Let’s look again at the opening of mental health facilities/hospitals.
Only a healthy child/person can learn and so can our mental health.
Therefore, as the campaign season draws to a close, television audiences may see positive commercials about solutions rather than branding, bullying, or problems.
It doesn’t matter if you belong to a political party, facing our mental health crisis is the “positive” right move for our country.
As for me and my house, we just choose to “stream” to avoid “negative energy” and commercials.
