Multiple victims were injured Monday night after a shooting in northeast DC.

DC Police have described what happened on the 1500 block of F Street as a “critical incident alert”.

At least six people have been shot at an apartment complex, NBC Washington reports.

Members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive’s Washington Field Division are on the scene to assist police.

Below is the area where it happened.

It is the latest in a series of shootings that have taken place in the district in recent days. On Saturday at a press conference following a drive-by shooting in which two people were injured and one person was shot dead by police, DC Police Chief Assistant Ashan Benedict described the past few days as “rough”.

There has been an increase in violent crime in DC, with homicides up 12% over the same period last year.
