With the recent updates in iOS 15, the Siri feature on the device is surprisingly consistent in performing tasks on the device, such as setting timers, alarms, reminders, and calling people. In fact, placing calls is something Siri has always been good at, and it does an equally good job for cellular calls or FaceTime calls. Now, with a new feature in iOS 16, Siri can also end calls for you, all hands-free. This is very useful if you talk a lot through the iPhone speakers, or if you use wireless earphones such as AirPods or Beats.

(Remark: This is an iOS 16 feature and is currently only available as a public beta. With the public release of iOS 16 in the fall, it will be available for every compatible iPhone around the world.)

Once you’ve installed iOS 16, go to Settings > Siri and Search > Siri Hang up call and enable the “Siri Hang up call” feature. Now say the words “Hey Siri, hang upcall to bed. Of course the caller will also hear those words, which may seem a little strange to them, but you can decide for yourself whether that little clumsiness is worth it? the for hands-free convenience and freedom.

If you don’t see this feature in Settings, your device may not be supported. According to Apple, only iPhone 11 and later are supported. But older iPhones can use this feature along with AirPods and Beats earphones that support the Hey Siri feature. Initially, this feature is also limited to these seven languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese.
