Ottawa’s major Canada Day celebrations are held at LeBreton Flats Park

OTTAWA — Large-scale Canada Day celebrations return to the national capital on July 1, with most of the action taking place in a park just west of Parliament Hill.

Day and evening shows are scheduled at LeBreton Flats Park, culminating in a dazzling fireworks display.

Canadian Heritage says extensive renovations to Parliament Hill’s Center Block have moved it away from its usual location for Canada Day festivities.

The celebrations will feature a lineup of musicians including Juno Award winners Chantal Kreviazuk, DJ Shub and Walk Off the Earth.
