Paws in the Park is Toronto’s best dog event of the summer and it’s for a good cause

Whether you have a dog, want a dog, love dogs, or just want to help out dogs (and other furry friends), be sure to add the Toronto Humane Society’s upcoming Paws in the Park event to your summer calendar.

On August 6, the most beautiful park of the beaches is taken by all the puppies your heart desires, with pets, kisses and more for the day.

Check out a bunch of vendors to get your pet some new toys and treats, take part in an adorable dog fashion show, take part in a silent auction, or grab a beer or two from dog-friendly Black Lab Brewing in their specialty liquor garden.

There will, of course, also be snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments for dogs and people, as well as lawn games and a kids’ zone filled with crafts, scavenger hunts, face painting and more.

There’s even a pup fundraiser along the water where animal lovers can pre-register as a single or group to meet new canine and human friends and get their best friend some much-needed exercise and fun along the lakeshore.

Attendees can also take part in dog training demos, have their pictures taken with their pups in a photo booth, splash around in a puppy pool, and participate in question and answer sessions with experts who can help you raise, adopt, or anything else you desire. to learn more about the work of Toronto Humane Society and how you can help.

Be sure to pick up some swag to represent the non-profit, animal-loving organization and donate to animal care.

The free, family-friendly event is the largest event Toronto Humane Society hosts throughout the year and takes place Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Woodbine Park near Coxwell and Queen Street E.
