Pinterest new Chief Executive Account ready said he would focus on profitability while making his mark on the company, as the weakened digital advertising market has affected revenue growth for the social media platform and its peers.
“I don’t subscribe to a mindset of growth at all costs,” Mr. Ready said during an interview with analysts, adding that he would be scrutinizing spending to increase profitability next year. “While I believe we need to invest in long-term growth, I also believe that constraints encourage creativity and can lead to even better product outcomes.”
