Police looking for man seriously injured in Hamilton attack

Hamilton police are asking for help in finding a man who was the victim of a serious attack in the city on Wednesday morning, and say they are concerned for his safety.

Police said officers were called to the Parkdale Avenue North and Melvin Avenue areas just before 11 a.m. for an assault.

When they arrived, the victim had already left, police said. They have been unable to locate him and are now concerned for his health and well-being.

The victim was seriously injured, according to police. He has been identified as 30-year-old Cody Comeau.

He is described as six feet tall and weighs about 140 pounds and is thinly built. He was wearing a gray hooded sweater, dark gray shorts and black running shoes.

Police also released a photo of Comeau in an attempt to locate him.

They noted that a suspect had been taken into custody and that there were no public safety concerns.
