Prince Louis of Cambridge stole the spotlight on the final day of the anniversary celebrations and the internet loved it

Buckingham Palace celebrated Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th anniversary as British monarch, a historic first.

But someone else was in the spotlight during the platinum anniversary celebrations: 4-year-old Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge.

The internet reacted quickly to photos from the royal balcony, where the young prince shielded his ears as the crowd cheered the family.

It quickly became a clever meme, with an image of Prince Louis Photoshopped into “The Scream,” a popular 1893 painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch.

Later photos captured Prince Louis and other members of the royal family as they watched the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.

On one of these, Mike Tindall, the husband of Prince William’s cousin, warned the prince that he is being watched.

In one video, the prince sits on the lap of his mother, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge during the election. While watching people in animal costumes, he adorably imitates the growl of a lion.

Prince Louis gets up to dance, with a big cheeky smile at the end in a series of photos posted by a Twitter user, captioning “Little Prince Louis had all the moves on the Platinum Jubilee Pageant today!!”

One Twitter user even found a 1988 photo of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Prince Louis’s father, which has the same bored facial expression as Louis.

“Like father, like son,” said the Twitter user.

It’s safe to say Prince Louis may have been a star of the pageant show after all.
