Pro-choice protesters in Washington, DC burned the American flag Friday night after the Supreme Court decision overturned Roe v. Wade.

Protesters burned the American flag near the intersection of D St. NW and 7th St SW in Washington, DC, Friday night.

A sign next to the burning flag read “Fk MPD” and another sign read “Fk you Thomas, Alito, Coney Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Roberts.”

Protesters could be heard cheering as the American flag was burned in the street in Washington, DC.

Thousands of people took to the streets in Washington, DC, on Friday to protest the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

US Capitol Police officers were seen on standby Friday night in riot gear as people protested outside the Supreme Court.

Protests are said to take place in many major cities across the country.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson told Fox News it is working with law enforcement agencies to keep Americans safe.

“Free speech and the right of Americans to peacefully protest are fundamental constitutional rights. Those rights do not extend to violence and other illegal activities. DHS will continue to work with our partners at every level of government to share timely information and support law enforcement efforts.” to help keep our communities safe,” the spokesperson said.
