A second suspect wanted in connection with a murder in the east side of the city was arrested Friday, Toronto police said.
Chelsey Mais, 29, of Toronto, was charged with complicity in murder, police said in a press release on Saturday.
The first arrest took place on July 16. Nicholas Hirsch, 26, of Toronto was charged with first degree murder.
Police said on July 7 that emergency responders were called to an alleyway near the rear parking lot of 1910 Gerrard St. E, near Woodbine Avenue, just after 8 p.m. There, officers found a woman, who was later identified as 32-year-old Megan Elizabeth Crant, with serious injuries.
Police said Crant had been shot. She died on the spot.
Mais was arrested around 5:15 p.m. Friday, police said.
