Secret bar opens in Sydney’s Barangaroo – hospitality

The Sydney suburb of Barangaroo has welcomed a new secret bar, the Department of Legend & Myth (called the DLM) at 300 Barangaroo Ave.

The venue’s launch coincided with the opening night of Sydney’s annual Vivid light festival and aims to support Australian musicians and entertainers.

“We are excited to bring such a unique offering to The Streets of Barangaroo,” said Jacqui Stanton, Retail Marketing Manager for The Streets of Barangaroo.

“Our take on this cultural experience is unlike anything else currently in the Sydney CBD and it’s a great opportunity to support so many artists and local producers.”

The location can be found on the corner of Exchange Place at the foot of the Wynyard Escalators on Sussex Street.

Guests can order martinis using Hickson Rd gin and Mai tais with Plantation rum, along with Australian sours and beers from Lord Howe Island Brewing Co and
He attacked wines.

The menu was created in collaboration with the Japanese burger restaurant Ume Burger, including snacks such as fried chicken, fries, onion rings, homemade kimchi and Japanese pickles.

Customers can order at the bar or at tables with QR code via Byto.

The DLM operates from Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m.
