Whether you just bought the new M1 iPad Air, iPhone SE, or any other Apple product with a display, you probably got a three-month free trial from Apple Arcade. If you’re just thinking about experiencing this gaming service or planning to come back to it again, here are some of the best games for you to enjoy right now.
Apple Arcade contains over 200 original games. Last year, Apple added a number of “iOS classic” games, bringing Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and many others back to life thanks to the subscription service. As an Apple Arcade fan, here are the games I can’t stop playing.
This is an Apple Arcade game that revolves around drawing the roads that support a growing city. As the game developer puts it, “Build a road network, one road at a time, to create a bustling metropolis. Redesign your city to keep traffic flowing and carefully manage upgrades to meet changing demands.”
But what impresses me the most is that the app is always updated by the developers. There’s a new Challenge Mode, more cards than ever and even new and improved colorblind options. You can download the game here.
Alto’s Adventure: The Spirit of the Mountain
For those into Alto’s adventures, developer Snowman recently released a remastered version of the first game for Apple Arcades. As you join Alto and his friends on this endless snowboarding odyssey, existing and new players will have the chance to rescue runaway llamas, grind roofs and leap across terrifying chasms as they brave the ever-changing elements and search for secrets. long hidden in the mountain.
This game offers 20 brand new objectives in addition to the original new series of never seen before set pieces and all the beauty of the gameplay combined with the fully dynamic lighting and weather effects. You can download the game here.
Grindstone feels like my Candy Crush-esque Apple Arcade game. I can’t get enough of the addictive stages, the increase in difficulty between levels and endless updates with more content to discover.
Grindstone is a game of swords puzzle fighting. Users can choose their weapons, potions and more in this Apple Arcade title:
It takes sharp puzzle skills and an even sharper blade to blast your way through the swarms of bloodthirsty Creeps that inhabit the dungeons of Grindstone. Battle bosses, loot resources, discover long-lost blueprints for powerful gear, all while cleaving the guts of your deadly foes! Now with over 200 levels of intense puzzle battles!
You can download it here.
If you’re into the Badland franchise, you’ll love this online multiplayer experience – which you can also take advantage of yourself, if you’d like. In this Apple Arcade game, you must survive through multiple new worlds, take down giant machines in boss battles, work together to solve multiplayer puzzles, roll, fly, swim and dive through the lush world of Badland and help rescue the clones.
When I first started playing it, I have to say I was really happy to experience another Badland game. With easy-to-access controls and frequent checkpoints, all users can have fun with this title. You can download the game here.
Monument Valley 2+
Another franchise I’ve always loved was Monument Valley. Having the opportunity to revisit one of the best titles ever made for iOS is amazing. Embark on this mother and her child’s journey through magical architecture, discovering illusionary paths and exploring stunning environments as you manipulate the architecture to guide them on their way.
Whether it’s been ages since you last played this game or if you’re experiencing it for the first time, this is definitely one of the Apple Arcade titles to check out. You can download it here.
Apple Arcade Closing
There are over 200 games available on Apple Arcade, these are just five of the titles I’ve been enjoying lately.
