The First Episode of Strange New Worlds Free – Review Geek

Decisive

It seems that Star Trek finally returns to its roots with Strange New Worlds, a show that focuses on Captain Christopher Pike — you know, the man from the squeaky chair. While Strange New Worlds is only available on Paramount+, you can now stream the first episode for free on YouTube.

Episode one of Strange New Worlds debuted on May 4, in what I can only assume is a nod to Star Wars (or an ironic symbol of how CBS is handling this franchise). You can watch it for free on Paramount+ or YouTube without an account or subscription, although I assume it will be hidden behind a Paramount+ membership at the end of May (that’s what happened with the Halo premiere).

Shockingly, the first few episodes of Strange New Worlds stay away from the serialized format of shows like Picard and Discovery† Looks like the show will stick with the classic “monster of the week” theme from Star Trek: The Original Series and The next generationthat’s what we’ve all wanted for the past fifteen years.

However, I still don’t know what to make of the new show. It kind of exudes that JJ Abrams vibe, which I’m not ready for yet. Maybe you should check out the show and let us know what you think.

New episodes of Strange New Worlds debut every Thursday. The show is available exclusively on Paramount+, except for this first episode, which is currently available on YouTube.
