Earlier this week, Bleeding Cool revealed some art for the latest Power Ranger comic, an untitled series following a new Omega Rangercurrently known only as the Death Ranger† For comic fansthis news was enough to get them excited for the latest installment in the Power Rangers universe, exploring the current story of the insidious Death Ranger, who turned against their fellow Omega Rangers millennia ago, “seduced by the death-defying powers of the Rangers’ greatest enemy.”
But with great art comes great thirst, and when writer Paul Allor saw some lecherous comments that misinterpreted the character he was writing, he felt the need to correct the mistake (politely), which was easy to make since the press release didn’t work. was attached. all pronouns to the Death Ranger. But it’s official: The Death Ranger uses she/them pronouns, is non-binary, and is devastatingly hot.
You’ve been warned, below are some very thirsty (read: explicit) tweets. I’m including them because I think they’re hilarious and I expect we’re all grown ups about thisPlease†
This, of course, created even more appreciation for the character, which is 100% correct. A non-binary Power Rangers fan (@renlythewriter) chimed in, saying it’s great to see multiple non-binary characters in the franchise. The other Ranger they mentioned is Orisonthof the Power Squadron Rangers.
There are plenty of other responses coming from people who simply appreciate that the Death Ranger is not just a stone-cold fox, but a fun and excitingly refreshing take on non-binary representation. (Especially after Marvel unveiled their non-binary superhero… Snowflake.) Personally, I love seeing a vile non-binary villain who is intentionally evil, and I’m happy to report that I’m not the only one.
“I identify as a damn” threat” is in fact the most metallic thing I’ve read all day. Thanks non-binary thirst twitter, you guys are the real ones.
