It’s going to be a warm weekend in Metro Vancouver, but hotter next week, with temperatures forecasted to reach 34C in some parts of the region.
VANCOUVER, B.C.: Saturday July 23. Today’s weather is expected to be sunny and muggy, with highs of 22C and 25C inland, although Environment and Climate Change Canada says it could feel closer to 27C and 30C with humidity. At night it will look clear and 13 C and then Sunday should be sunny again with a light breeze and maximums of 23 C and 27 C. Then a heat wave is expected to start for Metro Vancouver next week, with the mercury peaks above 30°C in some parts of the region. Expect sunshine on Monday, with highs of 30°C inland or 24°C closer to the water. On Tuesday, maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 32 C inland and 26 C near the coast. The heat waves will continue on Wednesday and Thursday with maximums of up to 28°C and 34°C inland. Those temperatures should drop slightly to 27C and 32C on Friday.
