This farm near Toronto has a new lookout tower and you can enjoy hard cider flights on a terrace

Whether you’re looking for a fun day out with your family or a unique date idea, this Ontario ranch has a ton of activities for you to enjoy.

From summer music nights and bonfires to cozy patio drinks and apple picking, you can hold on to the heat or start transitioning into the fall season.

As if Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm didn’t already have enough fun things to do, they recently opened a new watchtower. It’s less than an hour’s drive from Toronto, which makes for an easy day trip.

The new lookout tower makes you feel like you’re on top of the world, but it’s not an intense hike to get there. You look out over the farm’s 60 acre apple orchard with the Niagara Slope in the distance. It is right by hay bales and a play structure for both children and adults to run, jump and slide.

There is a farmhouse kitchen serving full meals, a woodshed BBQ with grilled options, and a silo bar where you can find a variety of boozy drinks. The hard cider on the menu is made in small batches with apples from the orchard. You can choose to sip during a flight and try different flavors such as the original and rosé ciders.

The apple picking season is almost upon us and they expect the early apple varieties to be ready in mid to late August. Apples such as Tydeman Red and the rare Sunrise variety will be the first to be picked.

If you prefer Honeycrisp or Empire, you should plan a visit in September. You can pick varieties, including Ambrosia and Mutsu, in October when you’ll also find pumpkins to take home.

The rest of the summer weekends, you can make s’mores by an afternoon campfire or dance the evenings at an outdoor concert. There are also easy-to-walk nature trails with rope swings and farm animals for you to hang out with.

If you decide to head to the town of Milton, you can also eat farm delicacies at the Blossom Café. It is known for its apple blossom desserts with puff pastry and topped with ice cream. There are also a ton of other desserts and hard ciders on the menu.
