Traffic delays after 15 car crash on Brisbane highway

An accident involving up to 15 cars has caused major delays on the way to the Brisbane CBD this morning in wet weather.

The major collision occurred around 6 a.m. on Pacific Highway northbound at Greenslopes and was delayed for up to four hours.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said six injured have been taken to hospital while seven others have been examined for their injuries.

One of them is said to have become trapped in their car with a knee injury.

Senior Sergeant Todd Sucic of the Queensland Police Service said no one was seriously injured.

“A few people were injured as a result of this traffic accident and they were taken to local hospitals for observation and treatment, but luckily there were no serious injuries.”

Commuters bound for Brisbane have been warned of long delays as a result of the accident, which blocked the Juliette Street exit at Greenslopes.

Motorists were diverted on Gaza Road.
