push-ups are probably my favorite bodyweight exercise. Not only are they easy to do and target several key muscle groups, you can change the way you do them to target specific areas. Pushups target the muscles of the chest (pectorals) and back of the arms (triceps) with some shoulder support (anterior deltoids). By changing the position of your hands, you can change the emphasis on each of those muscles.
