A car caught fire early Saturday morning during a street takeover in the Green Meadows area of ​​South Los Angeles, officials said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a traffic accident at 1:11 a.m. on South Central Avenue and East 120th Street, although another person who called the fire department noticed a vehicle was on fire, according to LAFD’s Brian Humphrey.

Due to problems with the crowd gathered, the LAFD called in the help of the Los Angeles Police Department, who arrested two people for battery on a firefighter, according to Los Angeles Police Department officer Cervantes.

Their names, ages and genders have not been released.

No one needed to be taken to hospital by ambulance, Humphrey said, although Cervantes noted that the vehicle in question was being towed away from the crime scene.
