Kaitlyn D. Dobesh, MD, JD, a resident of Henry Ford Hospital, was elected to a one-year term on the board of directors of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) as the Resident & Fellow Representative during the 157e annual meeting of the MSMS House of Delegates held in Kalamazoo on April 30e†
Dobesh received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and is currently a general surgery resident at Henry Ford Hospital. She is also a member of the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan and was one of their representatives to the United States House of Representatives in 2022.
Dobesh received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska and graduated with a BS in environmental studies. She also received her law degree from Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University.
The Michigan State Medical Society is the statewide professional association that acts as the voice of all physicians in Michigan and is affiliated with the American Medical Association. Physicians’ policies on various issues related to public health, healthcare, and medical ethics are established at the annual MSMS House of Delegates meeting.
